Welcome to Our Web Site |
The Founders of
Family Home Care
have over 25 years of leadership
experience providing non-medical in-home care services in
California and Arizona. We are a family owned company, not a
franchise, with a team of Home Care
Professionals driven to provide the highest quality of care
possible. Read about Don Irish, President and Founder of Family
Home Care and the Family Home
Care story here:

In Arizona and California, their is no
governmental oversight or regulation for the non-medical
home care industry. Consequently, non-medical home care
services are delivered in both States with a wide range of
business ethics and services standards. That is why the
owner of Family Home Care, Don Irish, is one of the Founders
of the non-profit Arizona Non-Medical Home Care Association
(AzNHA).
He also serves as this Association's current Executive
Director. AzNHA has established and maintains a strict code of
business ethics and standards for the delivery of home care
services. AzNHA has the same principals and values
as Family Home Care in that we both advocate consumer
information, rights and protection, business ethics, and
quality services. Go to the web site at
www.aznha.org
for more information.
One of Mr. Irish’s most important goals is
to continually work to prevent elder abuse. He is a Founder
and Co-Chair of the national non-profit Stop Elder Abuse
Foundation, headquartered in Orange County, California. This
organization represents a unified voice for elder abuse
awareness, education and prevention. He currently serves as
a member of the Arizona Attorney General’s Taskforce Against
Senior Abuse Advisory Group (TASA). This group advises
Attorney General Tom Horne in matters concerning the senior
citizens of Arizona, while focusing on identifying statewide
senior abuse issues and establishing goals to combat abuse.
He also serves as a member of the Arizona Governor’s
Alzheimer's Task Force. The goal of this Task Force, in
alignment with the State Plan on Aging, is to address the
growing human and financial cost of dementia care in
Arizona.
Don Irish, President, served for the 18 months on the Arizona Non-Medical Home Care Licensure
Coalition Coordinating Committee and also served as the
Chairperson of their Legislative Committee charged with
writing a licensure bill for the home care industry in
Arizona.
Unfortunately for
the Consumers of non-medical home care services the Arizona
State Legislature is not interested in allowing the
non-medical home care industry to be regulated now, or any
time in the near future.
In addition, Family Home Care is a member of
the National Private Duty Association and in California,
CAHSAH.
